Wider support

CONVERSATION, ADVICE & REFRESHMENT(S)

Take a seat, enjoy a hot drink, stay warm and speak to a volunteer or our advice worker.

We moved to our new Cowick Street home in May 2025. The main aim of the move was to offer more holistic support to the people who need help.

In our previous venue, we were able to give food and limited support. Now we can offer everyone tea or coffee and, more importantly, we work with a group of agencies who can assist with issues like debt, benefit problems, employment and cost-of-living issues.

On some days we’re joined by representatives from other agencies who can discuss sources of support with our clients: Citizens Advice Exeter, Exeter Community Energy, Employment Plus and Job Centre Plus are among the teams that we work with.

If you’re a Food Bank user or a volunteer we’d be glad to see you at the Cowick Street Centre where the advisors are based. If you visit us at The Beacon Centre or Cranbrook Food Hub, please ask the volunteers for details of further support that is available. They can take a phone number and we will get in touch.
